Do You Have a "Knack" for Keeping
All Your Worries and Stress
Bottled Up Inside?

Some stress is not that bad.

Getting out of bed in the morning involves stress, as does going away on vacation.

It is the Severe, Prolonged Stress that is Damaging and
Can Dispose You to Serious Illness

The Wall Street Journal, U.S.A. reports: "Severe or prolonged stress can make the body more vulnerable to ailments ranging from skin rashes and the common cold to heart attacks and cancer."

Stress also does damage in that it creates other problems. Because of it many lose work time, relationships, lose productivity, miss deadlines, and lose friends and even sleep.

Even the unborn are affected. Stress on pregnant women, such as from relationship problems or financial problems, can cause physical, mental and emotional damage to children in the womb.

The point is that some stress is unavoidable and unless you learn how to cope effectively with stress, it will cause wear and tear on your nervous system.

I Want To Give You 7 Proven Ways To Deflate The Steam Out OfYour System So You Can Get More In Control Of Your Emotions, Relationships And Life.

Are you ready?

OK, so here's the first one...

STRESS-BUSTER #1 -
Try fishing. Fishing is not only a man's sport. Fishing involves patience and restful concentration. It's a great way to escape from the daily grind. And guys, no you don't need the latest fishing gear. The key is to get away from your daily routines, relax and let nature do the rest.

STRESS-BUSTER #2 -
Now, roller skating or roller blading may not suit everyone but it could be a great way for you to express yourself physically, improve your fitness, mind/body coordination and balance. Best of all, it will help you to calm your racing mind.

STRESS-BUSTER #3 -
Try music to sooth your mind and spirit. Stress usually mounts up when you can't take your mind away off daily cares and worries. Playing an instrument lets you express yourself, relieves stress and improves your powers of concentration.

STRESS-BUSTER #4 -
Get a book. It's a great way to stimulate your brain. Reading puts your head and imagination to work. And it boosts your memory! Neurologist Ivan Izquierdo says: "The moment a person finishes reading the word 'tree', all the trees that he has ever known during his lifetime pass through his mind in hundredths of a second." Interesting...

STRESS-BUSTER #5 -
Want to get fit but are put off by a gym? Try a dancing class. Dancing is great for physical fitness, flexibility and stress relief. Plus, you will meet new people, make new friends and who knows, maybe you'll even meet that someone special. ;)

STRESS-BUSTER #6 -
Have a good belly laugh. Apparently, laughter can shield one from the bad effects of harmful emotions. It tends to relax a person, thus lessening tension and lifting his/her spirits. According to one study, hearty laughter was found to lower high blood pressure or increase low blood pressure by ten or more points.

Scientists have found it to be similar to moderate exercise. "Muscles in the abdomen, chest, shoulders and elsewhere contract; heart rate and blood pressure increase," reports Newsweek magazine. Great stuff!

STRESS-BUSTER #7 -
Alkalize your body. Since you are on my database I don't need to convince you of the benefits maintaining a healthful pH. The truth is that 'alkaline' people tend to be emotionally resilient and cope better with stress. When your pH gets out or range, your moods and emotions begin to fluctuate, triggering devastating depression, pain attacks, anxiety and fatigue. Alkalizing foods help you to keep your hormones, moods and emotions in check.

So there you go. I hope you enjoyed this week's newsletter. The key is to find a way for you to unwind and relax on a regular basis, especially when the coping 'mechanisms' are failing.

And everything else fails, here's the Aussie Antidote: Take it easy, mate!

Until next time...

Eat Well! Be Well! and Enjoy Life!
