No wonder that stress is bad for you. It robs you of good sleep, general well-being, energy, and makes your body acidic.

So, how can one stress less? That's a good question, right? But, it's not as easy as it seems, UNLESS... unless, you understand the ‘muscles-mind' connection...

Progressive Muscular Relaxation (PMR) technique - calms your mind and drains acid out of your system!

PMS technique is great for calming an overactive nervous system. It also reduces your heart rate and blood pressure - naturally!

All you need to do is close your eyes...

... So, close your eyes and take a few deep breathes. Now, focus on each part of your body in turn, and relax your body step by step. Simply tense the muscles of the area, and hold for 5-7 seconds, then totally relax your muscles. Are you ready?

First, direct your attention to your toes and feet, clench up your toes, and then tense your calves. Move on up the legs, tightening the thigh muscles, the buttocks and your tummy. Now flex and relax your chest area, then each arm, clench your hands, shrug up your shoulders. Feel the sensation of your shoulders flexing and relaxing. Now, open your mouth and eyes wide, and let go.

Breathe deep. Imagine a warm heaviness spreading throughout your body.
Take your time. Feel totally relaxed. Make sure that your breathing is deep and comes from your diaphragm. As you tense and release each muscle, concentrate on the warm sensation that you experience. Notice how that makes you feel, and enjoy the sense of stillness.

Continue with your easy, deep abdominal breathes ... now, scan the entire body for any tension and relax it (simply flex and release). Now, say to yourself seven times: "I am now fully relaxed. My body is filled with vibrant energy. I feel fantastic."

You can create your own affirmations, but whatever you use, make sure it empowers you on all levels.

This is a great exercise you can do practically anytime and anywhere. You can do it while sitting up or laying down. When sitting up, make sure that your back is straight, your feet flat and your hands resting in your lap. When laying down, make sure that your head, neck and back are in alignment, and your hands are upturned and held slightly away form the body.

For best result, practice this exercise three times a week. It's a great way to calm your mind, heart rate and blood pressure, and drain stress, tensions and anxiety away! It will also help you face life's challenges with more optimism, confidence and calmness.

Keep in mind that when your body is over acidic, its ability to handle stress is greatly compromised. In effect little things, that other people don't pay much attention to, could really start to peeve you off for no reason.

You see, alkaline individuals tend to be emotionally resilient and quite resistant to stress. Those individuals are promoted to positions of responsibility faster, and generally achieve better results in their life, career or business, all because they know how to keep their head cool under pressure.

If you thought, that you don't have much control over your emotions, think again. If acid stresses your body out on the inside, your body will not operate at its peak level.
