The Alkaline Cook Book

Dear friend,

As a health enthusiast you know that protein is important to build and repair tissue...

But, how on earth can you feed your body the protein it needs without relying on meat, dairy and whey shakes for protein intake...?

You need to seriously reduce or eliminate acid-based protein and increase alkaline-based protein intake in your diet. But...

Too much protein can disrupt your body's pH!

A study published in The American Journal of Clinical Nutrition, where volunteers were fed various protein-based diets consisting of either 49, 95 or 120 grams of protein per day, helped the researches determine the effect of protein intake on acidity by measuring hydrogen ion excretion in the urine of the study participants.

What they learned could change how you view protein forever...

While those fed the low-protein diet experienced only a small increase in hydrogen ion in the urine, the participants who were fed the high-protein diet...

Their hydrogen ion content increased THIRTYFOLD!

What that means in plain English is that they were 30X (THIRTY TIMES) more acidic! An increase in hydrogen ion in their urine indicated that their bodies were trying to buffer and excrete acid waste.

The human body needs to remain slightly alkaline to function properly. Consuming too much protein in your diet can disrupt your body's pH and charge your body with acid. It can have a negative effect on your body's chemistry! Your body will do whatever is necessary to restore its pH level.

So, how do you feed your body the protein it needs without raising the pH to unhealthy levels? You need to understand that not all protein is created equal...

Alkaline-based protein vs acid-based protein

Alkaline SuperFoodsSome foods like sugar and starch have simple structure that can break down relatively easy. As you consume sugars and starches a special digestive enzyme produced in your saliva, called Ptyalin, begins to break down sugar and starch in your mouth.

Protein has a much more complex structure... that takes longer to digest.

While sugar is composed of just two molecules, proteins have a much more complex structure – in fact, they're composed of various combinations of twenty-two amino acids!

In effect, your body has to work extra hard, your stomach has to produce more hydrochloric acid (HCI), your liver has to secret more bile, your pancreas need to ‘push pedal to the metal' and produce loads of digestive enzymes to break down the protein you consume.

Now alkaline-based protein is much easier to break down and assimilate by your body. That's because alkaline-based protein is easier to digest. Also, it's rich in the alkaline minerals (like calcium and magnesium) which are necessary to buffer the build-up of acid in your body.

Get the protein you need... and stay alkaline!

We can offer you two ways to help you increase your protein intake while normalising your body's pH level using alkaline-based protein.
