Toxins build up in the body faster than they can be removed.

Every non-prescription over-the-counter drugs and prescription drugs make your body toxic. Your pH level is way out of balance and so your hormones and organs will not function at their optimal level.

We all know what happens when hormones start to play havoc with your body… you can easily become someone you’re not and it really feels “maddening”.  You could feel tired, anxious, tense, get hot flushes, your sex drive goes out the window and your skin feels “crawly”. Not fun!

Toxins are evil critters. Toxins can be small molecules, peptides, or proteins and are capable of causing disease on contact with or absorption by body tissues by interacting with biological macromolecules such as enzymes or cellular receptors.

Put simply, when your body is toxic – you’re in trouble!

If you’ve recently taken medications or antibiotics to fight colds, flu, disease or infection, your body is toxic and so your hormones will not like it.

Throughout their life people are pumped with drug after drug after drug – and more drugs, vaccines and antibiotics. Ever wonder how your body copes with the load?

It’s not just drugs you have to look out for…

If you watch what you eat, you’re probably less toxic than most people. But if you eat food from cans, boxes and jars keep in mind that those foods are loaded with chemicals, preservatives and toxins. Just read the labels the next time you do the shopping – it will scare the daylights out of you!

Do you do a lot of driving? Do you work in a major city? You’re especially at risk. The fumes and carbon monoxide you breathe poison your body with every breath you take. Keep in mind that pollution levels are higher during peak commuting hours, so if possible, avoid travelling during those times.

What about the water you drink, bathe, and shower in? The point is that whether we like it or not, we are surrounded by toxins, poisons and chemicals. The worst thing you can do is think it won’t affect you. Of course you don’t want to get paranoid and start living in a box either.

But here’s the thing. When exposed to toxic “poisons” the genetically weak areas in your body will start to deteriorate first. That’s why some people are more likely to get kidney stones, cardiovascular diseases, cancer or even wrinkles more than others.

You must help your body cleanse, sanitise and fight off toxins.

There are many ways to do it. You can do a liver cleanse, kidneys and bladder cleanse, and gallbladder cleanse, to help your body flush toxins out of your system.

Some people recommend a colon cleanse, others think it’s not that useful or even harmful. Personally I think that you need to gather the facts and decide for yourself. What may be good for one person is not very effective for the other and vice versa.

I strongly recommend you do a parasite cleanse and a Candida cleanse.

Reduce the amount of toxins you put in your body.

Make sure you get a shower head filter to eliminate chemicals and poisons from entering your body when you shower. The water you drink is probably most important. If you don’t like bottled water, you need to get a water filter. I can’t believe some people still drink tap water – a big no-no.

The toxins produced within an overly-acidic, oxygen deprived body may contribute radically towards runny noses, sneezing, itching and tearing of the eyes, bloating, abdominal pain, diarrhoea, skin rash and inflammation.

Chronic inflammation can damage cells and tissues, causing them to become even more acidic, thus sending your body into a destructive downward spiral.

The KEY is to eat more alkaline-rich foods that balance and stabilise your blood chemistry, and sanitize, purify and detoxify your body.

Maybe you’re just like me, someone who loves food and enjoys indulging on the good things life has to offer. Who doesn’t? The difference is that I follow a strategy where I eat what is right for me and my body type at least 75-80% of the time.
